Answers To Your Burning Questions

What exactly does eHealthview do?

eHealthview receives clinician entries of patient observations/symptoms and automatically suggests appropriate codes, e.g., ICD-10 or CPT for the entered observation. The suggested codes are displayed to the clinician for possible selection. Selected codes become part of the patient EHR entry for that patient encounter.

Is eHealthcare an electronic records company?

No. eHealthview interfaces with an existing office EHR system. It provides data input into the existing EHR system segregated by patient identity or specific identifier system such as name, DOB, social security number or assigned identifier.

How exactly does eHealthview interface with my existing EHR record database?

eHealthview utilizes Application Program Interfaces (APIs) to connect to EHR systems.  Those APIs are developed and managed by the company who owns the EHR.

Is eHealthview compatible with commercial EHR systems such as EPIC?

Yes.

How does eHealthview connect to separate EHR databases?

eHealthview relies upon inter-entity health system agreements between health care providers or networks to provide access to the respective patient health care records in response to a clinician search request using the eHealthview software.

How does the eHealthview search function work?

The search request incorporates the patient specific identifying information (may be plurality of identifiers recognized by differing EHR databases) and codes selected by the clinician. The software searches for matching codes within the EHR or genus/specie codes as well as related procedure and test codes identified by the proprietary functions of the eHealthview software.

The eHealthview patient search request may contain clinician or clinician affiliated organization identifiers to provide authentication to the EHR database receiving the search request that the requestor is authorized to receive the information. This criteria will likely be a function of the inter-entity health system agreements.

How does eHealthview provide information regarding procedure reimbursements?

eHealthview software, having clinician selected codes and appropriate associated procedure or testing codes, can access the entity billing records and, by patient agnostic searching of similar costs, display the third party reimbursement for the coded diagnosis, treatment or procedure. Alternate treatment or test codes may be displayed to the clinician along with the historical reimbursement rates.

How does eHealthview search health records that are not indexed with codes?

eHealthview can, in one embodiment, access the patient billing records containing approved ICD-10 or CPT codes for past performed procedure. These records can be searched for matching or genus/species codes thereby indicating a patient history for a medical condition related to that being observed by the clinician. The clinician will have real-time access to this information. In a further embodiment, the actual EHR can be searched by treatment date as indicated in the billing records.

How is the eHealthview software sold and what are its costs?

eHealthview is sold as a SaaS solution on a per unit monthly/annual subscription.  Costs will vary with the number of devices the solution is licensed to.
