Omar Higgs is a Business Intelligence and Visual Analytics professional with twenty five years of experience in Information Technology, including the twelve most recent years delivering solutions in cross-industry Business Intelligence & Analytics, providing services to industries such as Higher Education Financial Affairs, Healthcare, Energy Trading/Risk Management, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Credit/Debt Management Service, and Energy Services. He leads efforts to develop cross-industry Business Intelligence and Analytics strategies designed to aid growth through increasing ability to leverage organizational data.
Mr. Higgs has consulted with organizations such as BP Americas, Peace Health, ExxonMobil, United Way, Pentair, Halliburton Energy Services, Shell Trading, and Aztec Facilities Services in roles that include BI Analyst, Visual Analytics Supervisor/Team Lead, Project Manager, and BI Strategist.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston-Downtown, a Certificate in Business Intelligence from Villanova University, and is an MBA candidate in the UCLA-NUS Global Executive MBA dual degree program — a joint EMBA program between UCLA and the National University of Singapore.
